WORKSHOP
A fully equipped workshop housed in separate spacious building with different
sections such as Smithy, Fitting, Sheet metal, Foundry, Carpentry, Plumbing
etc. is functioning near the main building. Adequate tools, workbenches
and supporting machines are available in the workshop with sufficient
well-qualified instructors and supporting staff under the supervision
of a well-qualified and experienced Workshop Superintend. This is the
primary haven for the students to develop their engineering skills.
DRAWING HALL
Drawing is the language used by engineers for technical communication.
A success engineer has to impoverish on his drawing skills. The college
provides three drawing halls with all necessary furniture and fittings
to accomplish an entire batch of students.
LABORATORIES
The Electronics and Electrical laboratories developed in tune to the basic
objective of the college to provide access to high quality education,
thereby creating skilled professionals in engineering.

COMPUTER LAB

The computer lab is fully furnished and well equipped with latest computers and other peripherals. The center has sufficient number of supporting staff to assist the students for their lab work. There are 60 nodes with latest Pentium processors out of which 30 nodes are connected to a server using Novell software. The other 30 nodes are connected to another server using Windows NT. The laboratory is equipped with sufficient number of required peripherals like dot matrix printers, Inkjet printers, scanners, web cam etc. Internet connection is also available for the easy and fast access to the web world.
LIBRARY AND DOCUMENTATION CENTRE

A modern library is the hub of all academic activities. In this era of knowledge explosion, it is very difficult for the academic community to keep abreast of the developments in their field with out proper supporting services in the form of library and documentation services. A state of the art library with 1600 titles with multiple copies of texts and reference books and technical journals is in possession. Present collection book is around 7400 with a total cost of Rs.17 lakhs. The services are handled by well-qualified and experienced professional hands in the field. The library is well furnished with classy wooden bookshelves with sufficient reading and stacking area. The database of the library is fully computerized with specially developed library software. There is a good collection of engineering standards primarily required for engineering education. There is also a collection of non-book material such as CD-ROMS, floppies and cassettes-about 600 nos. Journal subscription is supplemented by membership of Institutions like Institution of Engineers (India), IEEE etc. The books are classified using the British standard- Universal decimal classification.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTS AND
GAMES
Recognizing the importance of physical education, sports and games in
the overall personality development of the students, the college has established
a department for Physical education, sports and games under stewardship
of a qualified lecturer.This department aims to give training the students
interested in various sports and games and to develop teams for the college
to represent in inter collegiate and University sports festivals.
TRANSPORTATION
The college has got a fleet of its own vehicles for transportation of
students hailing from nearby areas and for the staff members. Transportation
facilities are subsidized connecting areas like Thiruvananthapuram, Nedumangad,
Attingal etc. via the National Highway and State Highway No.1 (Former
MC road).
SECURITY
The college has ensured 24-hour security system in its premises by engaging
private security services. The security services are provided for the
campus, main entrance, and office to avoid unauthorized movement in the
campus. There are also security personnel engaged in all the three hostels
run by the college to check unauthorized entry and to ensure discipline
in the daily routines of the inmates.
HOSTELS
Presently there are three hostels for the college. Two of these are for
boys and one for the girls. The ladies hostel is in the campus. Men's
hostels are functioning in rented buildings in the vicinity of the campus.
There are provisions for newspapers, television, reading rooms, mess,
telephones etc.
Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Wardens and Resident tutors
in the hostels to look into the welfare of the students and to provide
them with necessary help and guidance.
11 KV SUBSTATION
An 11 KV Substation is established to ensure an uninterrupted, steady
voltage electric supply in the campus.

CO-OPERATIVE STORE
There is a co-operative store run on no profit no loss basis for supplying
students the study materials required for their day-to-day work. All the
textbooks prescribed as per the syllabus, notebooks, pen, pencils, minidraft,
T-square etc. are available in the store.
CANTEEN
A spacious and hygienic canteen providing quality and delicious dishes
at subsidized rates is operated near to the academic block for the convenience
of the students and staff members.
