DIRECT STREAM
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for admissions to the B.Tech degree course shall be required
to have passed the Higher Secondary/ +2/XII standards examination conducted
by the boards/departments recognized by Universities in Kerala or equivalent
there to with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects
and obtain not less than 50% marks in Mathematics, and 50% in Mathematics,
Physics and Chemistry put together or Diploma examination in Engineering,
or any examination accepted by Govt. of Kerala as equivalent there to
with 50% marks in the final qualifying of examination subject to the usual
concessions allowed for backward and other communities a specified by
the Government from time to time. Applicants should have completed 17
years of age as on a 31st December of the current academic year. However
no upper age limit is prescribed for admission.
MODE OF SELECTION
Each branch has 60 seats. Of these 50% of the seats will be filled up
by the management and remaining 50% are filled up from the list of candidates
supplied by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala.
In case of the candidate selected based on the marks in the qualifying
examinations 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics
and Chemistry taken together are required.
LATERAL ENTRY
In all the five disciplines students will be admitted in the vacant seats
of the second year classes from the Diploma holders. The academic eligibility
for admission to these classes to diploma holders is a pass with 60% marks
in the respective discipline. In addition to this such candidate should
pass the entrance examination conducted by LBS Centre or any other body
entrusted by the Government for this purpose.
RULES RELATING TO ADMISSION
Rules relating to admissions of candidates (inclusive of relaxation of
marks to eligible communities belong to SEBC/SC/ST etc.) to the B.Tech
degree courses as decided by the CEE Govt. of Kerala, Kerala University
and AICTE are applicable in this college.
